Providing Care and Support through Menopause
We want to be there for you through every stage of your life, beginning with puberty and extending all the way through menopause. We know that facing menopause or peri-menopause can be daunting, as it signifies a change in something that you have seen as a normal part of your life for several decades. This natural process can bring about an array of new and complex emotions that you may need help in dealing with, and our physicians want to be there for you to provide the resources and support you need to feel calm and confident throughout this process. You may be experiencing the early stages of menopause if you encounter one or more of the following:
- Cessation of menstruation
- Hot flashes / Night sweats
- Insomnia
- Uncharacteristic irritability
Just because this is a natural biological process does not mean it will be easy to go through alone. At Women's Health Specialists of North Texas, our physicians are up to date on the latest hormone treatment options, and we can work with you to develop a plan to make menopause so much easier on you and your family.
Prompt Diagnosis and Treatment of Endometriosis
Endometriosis is an incredibly common affliction, with over three million cases reported on average in the United States each year. This disorder is characterized by the formation of uterine tissue in areas outside of the uterus. Despite growing outside of the appropriate area, this tissue continues to behave as uterine tissue in that it thickens, breaks down, and bleeds during each menstrual cycle. Because this tissue has nowhere to go, it can cause intense pain in the affected areas. If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, it is in your best interest to consult with a qualified gynecologist right away:
- Pelvic pain in isolation
- Pelvic pain associated with bowel movement, urination, menstruation, or intercourse
- Mid-cycle spotting
Endometriosis is treatable with hormone therapy, diet, and pain medication, but a prompt diagnosis is important in preventing any permanent damage to the reproductive system from occurring. Our physicians are trained in the diagnosis of this disorder through physical exams and laparoscopic surgery, and we will work with you to come up with an effective and manageable treatment plan.
Expert Urogynecologic Care
On average, more women suffer from urinary issues, such as incontinence, than men. Unfortunately, over half of the women afflicted with these types of issues choose not to tell their physician about their symptoms and concerns. At Women's Health Specialists of North Texas, we work to create an atmosphere of trust and security in which each of our patients feels safe to openly discuss any issues she may be facing. We feel that your health is too important to neglect, and that honest communication between our physicians and their patients is the key to avoiding and treating medical issues. It is especially important to bring incontinence issues to your doctor’s attention, as they can be symptomatic of deeper problems, including:
- Neuromuscular disorders
- Pelvic support issues
- Urinary tract abnormalities
- Urinary tract infection
At Women's Health Specialists of North Texas, our physicians are prepared to treat any number of underlying issues that may be causing your incontinence. We have the resources to treat a variety of urinary issues, including:
- Dysuria
- Enuresis
- Incomplete emptying
- Incontinence
- Nocturia
- Urgency
- Urinary frequency
We will do everything in our power to make you feel comfortable throughout the treatment and recovery process, and to ensure that you receive the best care available.
Providing All-Inclusive Treatments with In-Office Surgical Procedures
At Women's Health Specialists of North Texas, we know that any type of surgery can be stressful. This effect is intensified when patients have to travel to unfamiliar locations and deal with strangers on the day of their operations. To counter this, we offer a number of surgical procedures right here in our office, including:

- Endometrial ablations
- Endometrial biopsy
- Hysteroscopy
